What is SmartLipo™?
It is the first and only laser lipolysis system to offer a revolutionary and minimally invasive procedure for the removal of fat. Using a high-powered laser, Smartlipo™ is a new Laser Body Sculpting procedure with less downtime, less side effects than traditional liposuction, and without general anesthesia.
How does SmartLipo™ work?
A very small tube (1.00 mm-2.0mm in diameter) containing a laser fiber is inserted through the skin and into the fat layer. The cannula, or tube, is gently moved back and forth to deliver the laser’s energy into fat cells, causing them to rupture and easily drain away. As the laser comes in contact with the dermis (under layer of skin), collagen shrinks, thereby leading to smoother, younger-looking skin. Due to the cannula’s small size, SmartLipo™ is a minimally invasive procedure and can be performed under local anesthesia. With SmartLipo™, there is minimal bleeding, swelling, and bruising because the laser causes the blood vessels to coagulate on contact. There is also a quicker recovery time than conventional liposuction. Since general anesthesia is not required, the SmartLipo™ procedure is safe and has very minimal side effects.
Who is a candidate for the SmartLipo™ Laser liposuction procedure?
If you have areas of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise, then you’re a candidate for Laser liposuction. Ideal candidates are those who need to lose weight, have realistic expectations, and are in good enough health to undergo the non-invasive surgery that is performed during the procedure.
Which body parts can be treated with SmartLipo™?
The advanced SmartLipo™ procedure is ideal for treating fat accumulations or unwanted fat deposits of the neck/chin, upper arms, male breast (gynecomastia), flanks/love handles, back, abdomen, knees, and thighs.
How many treatments are required?
For most patients, only one SmartLipo™ treatment session is required per area. Sessions last between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on the requirement of the area being treated.
What is the post-treatment procedure?
After your SmartLipo™ treatment, you are required to wear a compression garment for a period of time ranging from one to several weeks, depending on individual requirements and the body area that has received treatment. Rest is recommended after the procedure and activity can be gradually resumed. Refrain from strenuous exercise and submersion into hot water for around two weeks.
Does SmartLipo™ help in the treatment of cellulite?
SmartLipo™ improves body shape and can improve cellulite to a certain degree.
How soon are results visible?
SmartLipo™ results are visible within a week, which continuous improvement seen over the subsequent months. Final results are visible by 6 months.
Does laser liposuction provide lasting results?
Of course! Adults do not create new fat cells. When a person gains weight, their existing fat cells expand, but new ones are never created. SmartLipo™ surgery permanently and systematically removes the fat cells from a particular area. If you should gain weight, most fat will be deposited in areas where the procedure was not performed.

What causes frown lines between the brows?
The lines that appear between your brows actually result from muscle movement and the passage of time. Two muscles are largely responsible for frown lines between the brows. When those muscles contract, they draw the brows together. As skin becomes elastic over time, repeated frowning can result in the moderate to severe lines between your brows.
How does Botox® Cosmetic help?
Botox® Cosmetic works by blocking nerve impulses, which reduces the movement of those muscles with less movement, the skin surface gradually smoothes out, and the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows begin to fade.
What is Botox® Cosmetic?
Botox® Cosmetic is a purified protein. It is a non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. During treatment, very low doses of Botox® Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause those stubborn lines between the brows.
Is it FDA approved?
Botox® Cosmetic is the only treatment of its type approved by the FDA for this use. The treatment is minimally invasive and non-surgical. It requires no recovery time and causes little discomfort.
What is treatment like?
Botox® Cosmetic is a quick and minimally invasive treatment. Your doctor makes a few tiny injections into the muscles under the brow lines. Your doctor will determine exactly where to administer the injections to achieve the best results. No anesthesia is required, although your physician may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injection. The entire procedure takes approximately ten minutes. Discomfort is minimal and brief- most patients compare the sensation to a bug bite. You may resume normal activity immediately.
Where can I have it done?
Any authorized healthcare professional can administer Botox® Cosmetic, but dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and other cosmetic physicians and physician's assistants (PA's) are generally more experienced.
How soon will I see a difference? What kind of results can I expect?
You can expect to see results within 3-5 days after your treatment. The appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a week. In a patient clinical study, by day 30 89% of patients judged the severity of their frown lines between their brows as moderate or better. Visible results can last up to four months. After that, you may be ready to return for a follow-up treatment. The most common side effects include headache, respiratory infection, flu syndrome, temporary eyelid droop, and nausea. Other side effects include pain and redness where the medicine is injected, pain in the face, and muscle weakness. These effects generally occur within the first week and usually go away on their own. Your results may vary- talk to your doctor about what you can expect. (Patients with neurological disorders may be at an increased risk of side effects).
How soon will I need a second treatment?
The effect of each treatment can last up to four months, be sure to schedule your follow-up treatments in advance.
What happens if I decide not to continue?
If you decide not to continue with Botox® Cosmetic, the area between you brows will eventually go back to its pretreatment appearance.
How does Botox® Cosmetic compare to other options?
Compared to other aesthetic treatment options, Botox® Cosmetic is relatively inexpensive, and is one of the least costly facial aesthetic procedures.

Is the treatment painful?
Injections sometimes cause some discomfort during and after the injection. Your doctor may choose to numb the treatment area to minimize discomfort.

What are the side effects of Juvederm™?
Most side effects are mild or moderate and last less than 7 days. The most common side effects include, but are not limited to: redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration of the injection site. As with all skin injections, there is a risk of infection.
Can people with different skin colors be treated with Juvederm™?
Yes, Juvederm™ is the first FDA approved hyaluronic acid dermal filler that has proven its safety and effective in skin types. There is no increased risk of scarring to patients of color.

How does LIPOTRON work?

What is the procedure?
First, the technician will apply conductive cream to the area being treated. This cream helps with heat displacement to the area. Then, massage the area with the LIPOTRON wand. The procedure is very comfortable and feels like a hot stone massage. No anesthesia is needed.
How many treatments?
Depending on the individual, the number of treatments needed may vary. The physician will evaluate before and during the treatment.
